Question 172763: Four Managers are attending a safety conference that starts in 21 minutes. The conference center is too far to walk from the hotel, so all of the managers must be driven to the conference. All of the shuttle buses are gone, and the only person with a vehicle is Mike Crowley, but he drove his MG, which accommodates only 2 occupants.
Calculate the time it will take for all 4 managers to get to the conference…. Make sure they all get there on time. Note: You must use the slowest person’s time for when in the car.
Ex: If Will and Larry drive together from the hotel it will take 8 minutes (Larry’s time), and from the conference center back to get the next manager, 3 minutes (Will’s time).
Attendees
It takes Sue 2 minutes to drive
It takes Will 3 minutes to drive
It takes Larry 8 minutes to drive
It takes Mike 10 minutes to drive.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Sue and will hop in. 3 minutes. Will gets out at conference
Sue drives back. 5 minutes on the clock so far
Sue gets out and Larry and Mike drive to conference. 15 minutes on the clock when they get there, Larry and Mike get out. Will gets in.
Will drives back. 18 minutes
Sue gets in with Will. They both drive back. 21 minutes
Now the big question ... if four managers don't get to a safety conference on time, who cares? :-D Answer, their direct reports. Getting 4 managers who want to attend a safety conference out of the office will increase productivity exponentially.
