Question 1724: will you please graph this linear equation. y=x-5.
Answer by longjonsilver(2297) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! in this form, y=mx+c, m is the gradient and c in the y-intercept.
so, the gradient is 1 and the line crosses the y-axis at y=-5.
When y=0, x=5, so this is where it crosses the x-axis.
Sketch axes, mark on some values, plot the 2 crossings of the axes and draw the straight line.
cheers
Jon.
