You can put this solution on YOUR website!
point slope formula states that y-k=m(x-h) where m is slope and (h,k)is a point
:
on the line.
:
y-4=5(x-2)
:
y-4=5x-10
:
can be written in standard form of 5x-y=6
or
y=mx+b format
:
y=5x-6

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Graph a line with a slope of 5 passing through the point (2,4)
-----------
Line Form: y = mx + b
Find m and find b
------------------------
m = 5
Find b:
4 = 5*2 + b
b = -6
------------
Equation: y = 5x - 6
