You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a) parallel lines always have equal slopes so highlight%28-2%2F7%29is the slope
:
b)lines that are perpendicular always have negative inverses of each other meaning when multiplied together =-1
:
so highlight%287%2F2%29is the slope

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Remember, parallel lines have equal slopes. So this means that

a) the parallel slope is -2%2F7

-------------------------------------------------

Also, recall that the perpendicular slope is simply the negative reciprocal of the given slope. So simply flip -2%2F7 to get -7%2F2. Now change the sign to get 7%2F2

b) So the perpendicular slope is 7%2F2
