You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Simplify each complex fraction.
2 + 1
- --
x x-2
_______
1 - 3
-- --
x-2 x
----------------
You need a least common denominator in the top and in the bottom
--------------------
[2(x-2)+x]/[x(x-2)] / [x - 3(x-2)]/[x(x-2)]
Invert the bottom (the denominator) and multiply, as follows:
= [3x-2]/[x(x-2)] * [x(x-2)]/[-2(x+1)]
Cancel the x(x-2) which is common to a numerator and a denominator to get:
= [3x-2]/[-2(x+1)]
