I came up with 9 different ways.

A club consists of 10 members. In how many different ways can a group of 3 people be selected to go on a European trip?
I came up with 9 different ways.

The 1st choice is 1 of 10, the 2nd 1 of 9, then 1 of 8, so that's 10*9*8,
=720
But, selecting AB & C is the same as CA & B, so divide by 3*2*1.
It's 10*9*8/3*2*1 = 720/6
= 120
