You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You have to solve for y. This means to subtract x from each side:
x+ 4y = 4
x-x + 4y = -x + 4
4y = -x + 4

Next divide each side by 4. It's best to divide each term by 4 in this case:
%284y%29%2F4=+%28-x%29%2F4+%2B+4%2F4
y = -x/4 + 1

This means that the y intercept is 1, and the slope is %28-1%29%2F4. Start at the y intercept of 1, and put a point. Then go DOWN 1 and right 4 and put the next point. The graph should look like this:
+graph+%28300%2C+300%2C+-10%2C+10%2C+-10%2C+10%2C+%28-x%2F4%29+%2B+1%29
