So,

log%2810%2C%283x%29%29=log%2810%2C%285%29%29%2Blog%2810%2C%28x-4%29%29

log%2810%2C%283x%29%29=log%2810%2C%285%28x-4%29%29%29

but if log%28b%2C%28a%29%29=log%28b%2C%28c%29%29 then a=c so:

3x=5%28x-4%29

3x=5x-20

-2x=-20

x=10
