Question 170890: I have been trying to figure out for the last 4 days how to submit this step by onto the online graph 4.3 that I downloaded from download.com and I am having no luck what so ever on how to do this on the graph 4.3 program. Can someone please help me????????!!!!!!!!! This work is 4 days over due and I am lost on graphing!!!!!!!!!!!
This is what I have:
equation of line m: m= y2 - y1/ x2 - x1 m = 13 - 9/5 - 3
m = 4/2
m = 2
plug in a cordinate to solve for the y-intercept: y = mx+b
y = 2x+b
9 = 2(3)+b
9 = 6+b
9 - 6 = b
3 = b
equation of line m => y = 2x+3
equation of line n: yz - y / x2 - x1 => -11 - (-9) / 5 - 3
=> - 2/ 2
=> -7
y = mx+b
-9 = (-1)(3)+b
-9 = -3+b
-6 = b
equation on line "n": y = -x-6
3. The points (3, 9), (5, 13), (15, 33), (34, 71), (678, 1359), and (1234, 2471) all lie on line M.
The points (3, -9), (5, -11), (15, -21), (34, -40), (678, -684), and (1234, -1240) all lie on line N.
