Since we're dealing with speed, let's use the distance-rate-time formula d=rt


d=rt Start with the given formula


d=60t Plug in r=60 (this is the speed/rate)


So to find the distance, simply plug in a time value. This means that the time "t" is independent (since the distance does NOT affect the time). However, the distance "d" is dependent since the time value "t" does affect the distance "d"


Domain:

Since a negative time doesn't make sense, this means that the time values must be positive (or zero). So the domain is t%3E=0


Range:

Because the domain is t%3E=0, this makes the range d%3E=0. This makes sense also since a negative distance isn't allowed either.
