-1%2F2=-%281%2F2%29%282%29%2B1%2F4 Plug in x=2 and y=-1%2F2


-1%2F2=-2%2F2%2B1%2F4 Multiply


-1%2F2=-4%2F4%2B1%2F4 Multiply the first fraction by 2%2F2
