4x^2+7x-10=0
4x^2 + 7x + ? = 10 ?
4(x^2 + (7/4)x + (7/8)^2) = 10 + 4(7/8)^2
4(x+(7/8))^2 = 13.0625
(x+(7/8))^2 = 3.265625
x+(7/8) = +/- 1.80710
x = -7/8 +-1.80710
x = 0.93210 or x = -2.6821
