Total Volume:

1 cubic foot = 12 inches * 12 inches * 12 inches = 1,728 cubic inches

Volume of One Brick:

1 in * 2 in * 8 in = 16 cubic inches


Now divide the total volume (1,728 cubic inches) by the volume of 1 brick (16 cubic inches)


1728%2F16=108


So you need 108 bricks to get 1 cubic foot.
