: This particular problem is a more of a quadratic function. I truly wish I could give you some of my calculations but nothing I put together makes sense. I have tried multiplying by the squared denominator, using the square root property but nothing is working! Any help is very much appreciated!!

"Solve each equation for the indicated variable".....
E%5E2R%2F%28r%2BR%29%5E2 Solve for R (E > 0)
E squared R is the numerator. (r+R) squared is the denominator.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
E^2R/(r+R)^2
Comment: You do not have an equation so you really cannot "solve for R".

You have only an expression, there's no equal sign. Without that, you can just assign a value to R, call it anything.
A similar problem would be:
7xy, Solve for x. There is no solution, since it's not an equation.
