Question 168490: Please help me solve this SAT practice question:
There are 75 more women than men enrolled in Linden College. If there are n men enrolled, then, interms of n, what percent of those enrolled are men?
I started by saying Let n= # of men, which means that # of women= n+75
Then I wrote 100(n+75)= the percentage of women
So in order to find the percentage of men in terms of n I wrote 100- 100(n+75)
I just can't seem to get the solution that is a part of the choices given, which were:
A.) [n/(n+75)]%
B.) [n/(2n+75)]%
C.) [n/((100(2n+75))]%
D.) [100n/(n+75)]%
E.) [100n/(2n+75)]%

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
There are 75 more women than men enrolled in Linden College. If there are n men enrolled, then, interms of n, what percent of those enrolled are men?
I started by saying Let n= # of men, which means that # of women= n+75
--------
To get the percentage form n/[n+n+75] = n/[2n+75]%
