You can put this solution on YOUR website! Find the area under the curve between 12 and 15 when
A. Mean = 10, s=5
Find the z-value of 12 and 15
z(12) = (12-10)/5 = 2/5 = 0.4
z(15) = (15-10)/5 = 5/5 = 1
P(12 < x < 15) = P(0.4 < z < 1) = 0.1859...
----------------------------------------------
B. Mean = 20, s=10
z(12) = (12-20)/10 = -8/10 = -0.8
z(15) = (15-20)/10 = -1/2 = -0.5
P(12 < x < 15) = P(-0.8 < z < -0.5) = 0.096682....
