when an odd number is added to another odd number you always get an even number
:
therefore when the 10 odd numbers are added together you get 100
but when you add an even to an odd its always odd.
:
so to add 5 odd numbers together, you will always get an odd answer, and since 50 is even number it is not possible. you end up with (4 odds added )equaling an even number meaning you are then adding an even with an odd, which will always equal an odd number.
:
you can add 6,8,10,12,and 14 to get 50 however.
or you can add 4 of the given numbers above to get 50
