Question 167876: Can somebody help me solve this question for Elementary stats class:
A final exam in math 160 has a mean of 73 with a standard deviation 7.8. If 24 students are randomly selected, find the probability that the mean of their test scores is less than 70.
How would you find the answer on the TI 83 graphing calculator. or is there another formula you could use to solve the question besides using the calculator.

I'm not sure for what section my question belong to but feel free to move it to where it fits right.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

On the TI83:

normalcdf(-E99,70,73,7.8/Ö(24))

Press ENTER. Get .0297673515

That is a negative sign, not a minus sign. It's found on the key
on the very bottom right. The sign is in parentheses like this (-)
on the key.

To get "normalcdf(" press 2ND VARS 2.

To get the E, press 2ND then the comma key

To get "Ö(", press 2ND x2.

The comma has a key all by itself.

The "/" is just the division key, ÷
