Use the fact that:
Log%5Bb%5D%28x%29+=+y means x+=+b%5Ey
Log%5B6%5D%284x%2B1%29+=+2 means %284x%2B1%29+=+6%5E2 so...
4x%2B1+=+36 Subtract 1 from both sides.
4x+=+35 Divide both sides by 4.
x+=+8.75
