Question 167678: I need help solving (5/y)-(2/3)=(-1/4) This is a homework problem and not out of a book. I have 3 pages of solving rational equations homework, if I can understand how to do one, I might be able to do the rest.
According to my teacher, it should not equal zero. I'm lost. I have tried multiplying by y, I end up with 5-2/3y=-1/4y and then don't know what to do. I would appreciate your help, if you can explain what I need to do.
