8p -5(p + 3) = (7p - 1)3
8p - 5p -15 = 21p -3
Now it's a matter of rearranging terms (addition and subtraction are commutative).
3p - 15 = 21p - 3
- 15 + 3 = 21p - 3p [adding 3 to both sides and subtracting 3p from both sides]
-12 = 18p
p = - 12/18 = - 2/3
