1st length of cut = xinches
2nd length of cut = 3x inches
Therefore with total length of 32inches:
x%2B3x=32
4x=32 -----> cross%284%29x%2Fcross%284%29=cross%2832%298%2Fcross%284%29
x=8in, 1st length of cut
3%2A8=24in, 2nd length of cut
Check:
8%2B24=32inches
