so lets call d1=r1*T1 1st cyclist T1=T+3 r1=6
.............d2=r2*T2 2nd cyclist T2=T r2=10
:
d1 has to equal d2 since they travel the same distance.

d1=6%28T%2B3%29
d1=10T
and since: d1=d2
then:6T%2B18=10T----->4T=18 T=4.5

2nd cyclist was cycling T=4.5hours before he caught the 1st cyclist.
