What is the equation of the ellipse with foci at (0,4) and (0,4) and the sum of its focal radii being 10?
2a=10 so a=5 center is at (0,0)
could the answer be x^2 + y^2 = 16 ???? Answer by Mathtut(3670) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! the form of the equation with foci in the (0,plus or minus c) where c is the foci.
is
a=10/2=5 and to get b where c and b are the legs and a is the hypothenuse..... so b=3
