:
To remove the brackets, multiply each term by 2/3
2%2F3*15x^2 - 2%2F3*18x + 2%2F3*24)
:
each term cancels out the denominator of 3 leaving;
2*5x^2 - 2*6x + 2*8
you have
10x^2 - 12x + 16
:
Another words, you know that
2/3 of 15 = 10
2/3 of 18 = 12
2/3 of 24 = 16

Now you use the distributive law
2%2A%28%281%2F3%29%2A15x%5E2+-+%281%2F3%29%2A18x+%2B+%281%2F3%29%2A24%29
2%2A%285x%5E2+-+6x+%2B+8%29
Use the distributive law again
10x%5E2+-+12x+%2B+16 answer
