I'll say it is x minutes before 12 noon
50 minutes ago, it was 50+%2B+x minutes before noon
and, 50+%2B+x minutes before noon, it was 4x
minutes past 9 AM
Between 9AM and noon, there are 180 minutes
4x minutes past 9AM is 180+-+4x minutes
before noon, and also equals 50+%2B+x
50+%2B+x+=+180+-+4x
5x+=+130
x+=+26 minutes
It is 26 minutes before noon

34 minutes ago, it was 11 AM
50 minutes ago, it was 16 minutes before 11 AM
