Question 164244: If y=f(x) contains the point (-4,5), what point must lie on the graph of y=f^-1 (x)?
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! For ANY point (x,y) on the function f(x), the new point on will simply be the reverse of the original point (assuming that f(x) is invertible). So with respect to the original point (x,y) on f(x), the new point is (y,x)
In our case, the point (5,-4) is the corresponding point on to the given point (-4,5)
