Question 164231: Solve. Then graph.
t + 19 ≥ 8
The solution is {t t ≥ -11}
The graphing is what I do not understand.
There are 4 options to choose from.
A scale that starts at -11 and goes to the left, at -11 there is a ] sign
A scale that starts at -11 and goes to the right, at -11 there is a [ sign
A scale that starts at -11 and goes to the right, at -11 there is a ( sign
A scale that starts at -11 and goes to the left, at -11 there is a )
I have no idea which scale is correct. Please help.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! t+19 ≥ 8
-19 -19
-----------
t ≥ -11 which means t greater than or equal to -11
so the sacle starts at -11 and equal to means t also includes -11
so the [ sign is written at -11 which means closed -11 that means -11 is also taken by t and the greater values than -11
so your answer is
A scale that starts at -11 and goes to the right, at -11 there is a [ sign
Hope you undertand it
