3x-12 is the answer
proof:
f(4)=3*4=12
f(4)=12-12
f(4)=0

f(6)=3*6-12
f(6)=18-12
f(6)=6

If f(4) = 0 and f(6) = 6, does:
A) f(x) = x+2 Substitute x = 4 to see.
f(4) = 4+2 = 6 Nope!
B) f(x) = x-4 Substitute x = 4 to see.
f(4) = 4-4 = 0 Possibly! try:
f(6) = 6-4 = 2 Nope!
C) f(x) = 3x-12 Substitute x = 4 to see.
f(4) = 3(4)-12
f(4) = 12-12 = 0 Possibly! try:
f(6) = 3(6)-12
f(6) = 18-12 = 6 Bingo!
The answer is C) f(x) = 3x-12
