Question 163775: yx-a=cx solve for x
Answer by joecbaseball(37) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! You need to isolate the x terms....
First, you need to get the x terms together...
yx-a=cx
-a=cx-yx (subtracting yx from both sides)
-a=x(c-y) (factoring the x you want by itself out of the right hand side)
-a/(c-y) = x (dividing both sides by (c-y) to get x by itself, and that is your answer.....
x = -a/(c-y)
Good luck!
