w = 1/3w + 20

3w = w + 60
subtract w from both sides of equation to get
2w = 60
divide both sides of equation by 2 to get
w = 30

pig weights 20 pounds more than 1/3 of its weight.
1/3 of its weight is 10.
20 pounds more than that is 30.
pig weighs 30 pounds.
