You can put this solution on YOUR website! negative x squared is not equal to the negative of x squared. In the first case the negative number is squared and we know that (-)(-)=(+). In the second case the number is squared and then there is a negative sign in front. The example will be 2. (-2)(-2)=4 -2*2=-4.
