The general equation for a parabola is
4p%28y-k%29=%28x-h%29%5E2
where (h,k) is the vertex, and p is the distance from vertex to focus.
In your case, (h,k)=(0,0) and p=4,
4p%28y-k%29=%28x-h%29%5E2
4%284%29%28y%29=%28x%29%5E2
y=x%5E2%2F16
