Use same principle as before
4x+2y=7 ----(1)
y=5x ----(2)
Sustitute value of y in (1) with value of y in(2)
4x+2(5x)=7
4x+10x=7
14x=7
x=7%2F14=1%2F2=0.5
Substitute this into (2) to find y
y=5%280.5%29
y=2.5
so x=0.5 and y=2.5 check by putting values into original equations
