| Question 162321:  Calculate the area of the triangle with the following vertices:
 (0,-9), (3,-9), and (0,-2)
 I believe the answer is 10.5 sq ft. I just want to know if that is correct, if so i know i have done it correctly.If not, I'd like to see the correct steps so i know what i did wrong. Thank you so much!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! (0,-9), (3,-9), and (0,-2) PLOT THESE THREE POINTS AND YOU'LL HAVE A RIGHT TRIANGLE WITH THRE FOLLOWING DIMENSIONS.
 X DISTANCE=3-1=3 THIS IS THE BASE OF THE RIGHT TRIANGLE.
 Y DISTANCE=9-2=7 THIS IS THE HEIGHT OF THE RIGHT TRIANGLE.
 AREA=BH/2
 AREA=3*7/2=21/2=10.5 IS THE AREA.
