1) let A be the measure of the angle. The complement is given as 1.4*A.
A+%2B+1.4A+=+90
2.4A+=+90
A+=+37.5
It's complement would then be 1.4+%2A+37.5 = 52.5
Use the same techniqu for problem 2. Except the second angle is 1.7A and their sum is 180 (supplement)
