You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To combine the terms of variabels you simply match.
First find all variables(letters)
2x,5y,y
Now match the same variables, 5y and y both conatin y,you can combine them!
*Any variable with no number is ALWAYS 1! For example: X,Y,Z-if you see any letter all by itself in a equation like these, let it stand for 1 when adding, subtracting, multipling,or dividing.
Now to finsih the equation we have to ADD 5y + y(if y=1 then the combined variables equal 6y.
After combining 5y and y and getting 6y lets finish, and solve!
6y + 2x (now combine 5 +3=8) ANSWER-6y+2x+8

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^2+3+5y+y+5
x^2+(5y+y)+(3+5)
x^2+6y+8
