Question 161301: PLEASE HELP! THIS PROBLEM IS DUE AT 11 P.M. PST TONIGHT (10-9-08)!!!
Im hoping this is the right forum for this problem.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8^(x / 2) = 3^(1 - x)
x =____________
------------------------
Take the log of both sides to get:
(x/2)log8 = (1-x)log3
0.451545x = log3 - 0.47712x
0.928666x = log3
x = 0.51377...
