You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sqrt%287.96%29+
Find the largest square less than 7. 2^2=4
Subtract the 4 from the 7=3. bring down the next 2 digits [396].
You need to multiply the 2*2 & add a zero for the next divisor (40)
Now you need to find the next value to add to the (4x)*x <396
[(40+?)*?<396].Try 9. [49*9=441} to large. Try 8. [48*8=384] this fits.
Now subtract 384 from 396=16.
Bring down two zeros
Double the 28=56. [56+?)*?<1600.try 563*3=1689 too big. Try 562*2=1124
Suntract 1124 from 1600.
VOILA 2.82 WITH REMAINDER
