You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Son's age= x
Mrs.Jonhson's age= 3x, 3 times Son's age
Condition: 10 yrs ago, she was 5 times as old as her son.
5%28x-10%29=3x-10
5x-50=3x-10
5x-3x=50-10
2x=40 ----> cross%282%29x%2Fcross%282%29=cross%2840%2920%2Fcross%282%29
x=20yrs, age of Son
3%2A20=60yrs, age of Mrs.Johnson
check via the condition
Age of her son 10 yrs ago: 20-10=10yrs
Age of Mrs.Johnson 10 yrs ago: 60-10=50 yrs ---> 5 times the age of her son 5%2A10=50
Thank you,
Jojo

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
M-10=5(S-10) OR M=5(S-10)+10
M=3S
5(S-10)+10=3S
5S-50+10=3S
5S-40=3S
5S-3S=40
2S=40
S=40/2
S=20 AGE OF SON NOW.
M=3*20=60 AGE OF MOM NOW.
PROOF:
60-10=5(20-10)
50=5*10
50=50
