i sort of understanda but i get stuck where theres a variable and number such as 4h=4h+4 <-- then that on the otherside. im just confused on what to do from there. This question is from textbook algebra 1
You can put this solution on YOUR website! -5a-7+4a=-(a-7)
-a -7 = -a + 7
-7 = 7
------------
That is a contradiction. It means the
original problem equation has no solution.
There is no number that can replace "a"
in the equation.
