You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a%5E2%2Bb%5E2=c%5E2 Start with pythagorean's theorem

a%5E2%2B1%5E2=%28sqrt%2810%29%29%5E2 Plug in b=1 and c=sqrt%2810%29

a%5E2%2B1=10 Square 1 to get 1. Square sqrt%2810%29 to get 10

a%5E2=9 Subtract 1 from both sides.

a=3 Take the square root of 9 to get 3 (note: only the positive square root is considered)

So the missing side is a=3
