You can put this solution on YOUR website!
On Sunday a coffee shop sold 115 lb of coffee. The amount of regular coffee sold was 5 lb more than the amount of decaffeinated coffee sold. There were twice as many pounds of flavored coffee sold than there was regular coffee sold.
a. Write an equation to solve for the amount of regular coffee sold.
r + d + f = 115
r = d + 5
f = 2r
-----------------
Substitute to solve for r:
r + (r-5) + 2r = 115
4r = 120
r = 30 lbs (amount of regular coffee)
