You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let's call the regular price of the ticket p. Then if senior citizens get a 25% discount, they pay p-0.25p right? This is the same as 0.75p, or saying that they pay 75% of the original price. So if there were 6 of them, the total money spent on senior citizens was 6(0.75p) and the total amount of money spent on the regular people was 3p. So,
So the regular price of the ticket was $8, thus the senior citizen tickets are 0.75(8)=6, or $6. So since there were 6 senior citizens, the total cost for the 6 senior citizens is 6(6)=$36.
