You can put this solution on YOUR website! Heidi rented a car one day and paid $80 for 200 miles. On aanother a day she rented a car from the same agency and paid $117.50 for 350 miles. Determine the linear function tha tthe agency could use to determine its daily rental charges.
--------------
You have two points that relate distance to charge: (200,80) and (350,117.50)
--------
slope = (117.50-80) / (350-200) = 0.25
intercept: 80 = 0.25*200 + b; b = 30
-----------
EQUATION:
C(x) = 0.25x + 30 dollars
