to get the depth ,we have to substitute the value of pressure in the given equation
40 = 15+(1/2)*D
(1/2)*D =40-15 = 25
D = 25*2 =50
D = 50 feet
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Put given figures into equation:
40=15+D/2 subtract 15 from both sides(D/2 is same as1/2D)
25=D/2 multiply both sides by 2 to get
50=D so Depth is 50 feet
check by putting in original equation
