if there is no 2nd order (squared) term, then the function is not a parabola
__ A cannot be zero

if B and/or C is zero, there is still a parabola
__ B moves the graph left-right
__ C moves the graph up-down

A cannot be 0. If A is zero, then the function become p%28x%29+=+Bx+%2B+C. And that is a linear (a line), not a parabola
