You can put this solution on YOUR website!
L=2W+3
2W+2(2W+3)=36
2W+4W+6=36
6W=36-6
6W=30
W=30/6
W=5 IS THE WIDTH.
L=2*5+3
L=10+3
L=13 IS THE LENGTH.
PROOF:
2*5+2*13=36
10+26=36
36=36

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Remember: P%5Brect%5D=2%28L%2BW%29 --------------> working eqn
L=2W%2B3yards
W=W
P%5Brect%5D=36yards
So, P%5Brect%5D=2%282W%2B3%2BW%29
36=2%283W%2B3%29
36=6W%2B6
6W=36-6=30
cross%286%29W%2Fcross%286%29=cross%2830%295%2Fcross%286%29
W=5yards
And, L=2%285%29%2B3=10%2B3
L=13yards
In doubt? Go back working eqn,
36yards=2%2813%2B5%29
36yards=2%2818%29
36yards=36yards
Thank you,
