You can put this solution on YOUR website! The greater of two consecutive even integers is six less than twice the smaller.
.
Let x = smaller of two consecutive even integers
then
x+2 = larger of two consecutive even integers
.
Then, from:"greater of two consecutive even integers is six less than twice the smaller" we get
x+2 = 2x-6
2 = x-6
8 = x (smaller integer)
.
larger integer:
x+2 = 8+2 = 10
.
The two integers are 8 and 10.
