Your chorus holds a car wash. They have $25.00 for making change. At the end of the car wash, they have $453.50. how much money did they make? please help me!!!

Well you know they had $25 to begin with, so what ever they made at the car wash plus that $25 will equal $453.50.
So your equation would be;
25 + x = 453.50
Solve;
subtract 25 from both sides;
25+x-25=453.50-25
x=428.50
So at the car wash they made;
$428.50
=)
